Rather than constant activity, dogs are guided through structured social time, rest and enrichment so they feel settled throughout the day.
We support each dog at their own pace, ensuring the environment remains predictable, secure and never overwhelming.
Since opening in 2022, we’ve welcomed dogs who benefit from gentle introductions, balanced interaction and consistent handling.
The aim is simple: dogs leave content, and owners come home to a calmer companion.
How Our Daycare Works
Every dog attending Doggy Base begins with a calm introduction to the environment.
Introductions
Before joining group daycare, dogs attend a short induction visit with their owner present.
This allows them to explore the space, meet the team and become familiar with their surroundings at their own pace.
Dogs do not interact with other daycare dogs during this visit. The focus is on building comfort and confidence first.
A calm first visit helps dogs settle much more quickly when they return.
A Structured Daily Routine
Throughout the day, dogs rotate between:
• supervised social time
• rest periods
• enrichment activities
This balanced rhythm prevents overtired behaviour and supports calmer evenings at home.
